A good pair of jeans has long been the staple in every woman's wardrobe. However, move over favourite pair of J Brands, denim has been reinvented! This season denim has taken on a life of its own, with designers using it to create a whole host of alternative wardrobe saviours. First up has to be the denim shirt, whether it be the classic western style, a softer chambray chic (better for tucking in) or a sleeveless denim gilet. Next up, the denim jacket. Cropped, distressed, biker (my personal favourite), bleached and white...all have a place in my wardrobe as they rarely date and are perfect for dressing down an outfit if it's just a tad too try hard. Last and not least, denim dresses. Often made of a softer denim, chambray or cotton for fluidity, work perfectly for everyday running around town, yet can be dressed up with a pair of heels for the evening...et voila, rock chick chic in an instant!
