Fashion: Women love leopard print, but do men?

I am on the verge of purchasing some leopard print flats for the new season. Wearing them with jeans keeps it simple but with a touch of glam! However, do we have to stop at shoes…

When I mention leopard print to the love of my life, his reaction is "Please don't go all Bet Lynch on me, its not sexy'

Ok for the record I was not planning on doing that, but the way he says it makes me wonder how much he really does not like it. I am dressing for myself and I am fairly confident that I make good decisions when it comes to dressing, but how far is too far with leopard print?

When it comes to patterned dressing my opinion is that a little here and there can be better than a mass coverage. That said, some of the flower prints look fab head to toe. However, I think leopard is one to be careful with and sometimes less is more - adding a little mystery to your outfit whilst bringing in the chic element. Dressed in the right way most people can pull it off.

Although my man doesn't rule my fashion world, I do agree on this occasion (did you hear a thud? Thats him falling on the floor because I have agreed with something and he cant quite believe it) less is more, and making it stand out means styling it well.

Ever since the beginning of spring I have been toying with stripes, and mainly because someone gave me a paranoia about which way they go, (no one wants to look like a wide load) although really its about the way you wear it for your figure. With spring gone and summer in full swing, I have decided to delve into the stripe tee section. 
I love it, and inspired by top bloggers, I have learnt how to wear this well. Its not just a daytime look, teamed with a blazer for the evening its perfect. Its a clean line look which is almost showing you in a well polished look without the effort. Hair in a ponytail and a pair of sunny's and your done.

Its a great wardrobe staple and can be carried through seasons. We really love a red stripe, especially good if you have a summer glow.

No more shiny holiday face!

I try not to wear make up on holiday because I like the natural look with a tan, a bit of mascara and liner, nude gloss and its done.
The main issue is the shiny t zone, I do not really want to wear concealer because its full make up and I want to be free of it for a couple of weeks.

Fashion: am to pm dressing

I think it's safe to say that prior to having children I would take my time getting ready for a night out. 

Proceedings would start at around 7pm when I'd have a lovely bath with scented candles and a glass of vino. I'd then body brush, apply some lotion, try on various outfits and take at least 40 minutes to do my makeup and hair alone.

Post children it's a VERY different story! These days my evening routine consists of bathing the kids, drying their hair, brushing their teeth and bribing them into bed with a story...hoping and preying they don't make a fuss so that I can have a quick wash, patch up my makeup and change into some heels in the hope of making my day outfit work for the evening!

This has led me to thinking recently that I need to purchase some pieces that would work perfectly from day to evening. So, all in the name of research of course, here are my top finds. Hopefully you will find something here to help you out the next time you're in a tight spot.

Animal print is not for everyone, but don't instantly dismiss it. Why? Because its all about the way you wear it. It has to be styled properly. Once you've mastered this however, then you can match it to just about anything.
