Fashion: Olivia Palermo's new shoe collaboration

If there was one celebrity I would choose to dress like 24/7 it would be Olivia Palermo. She is stylish, sophisticated and utterly gorgeous.

I'm not quite sure how she does it, but whether she's attending the polo or being papped on the street, she just NEVER gets it wrong. It helps that she has, in my humble opinion, some of the best taste in the business.

Therefore we all stood up and took note when we heard she was collaborating with purveyor of high-end heels Aquazzura. She has worked with them to produce six styles for their autumn range and they are nothing short of utterly divine!

Check them out on net-a-porter from early September onwards.

Superga - Back to school cool

Anyone who is anyone in the world of fashion blogging is in Superga - Alexa Chung, the Olsens. Suki Waterhouse even has a range on the website.

Celebs in Superga

An amazing italian fashion brand which has been around since 1911. So, if you think you have just unearthed this style in the comfort department, then think again!

Ok so fashion has moved on since 1911 and especially so in SS14 -  the look is all about understated cool. If you want to wear something in the day that looks good, but isn't too try-hard, then Superga is the look for you.

I recently bought a pair in white and have put them with my Jamie ripped jeans from Topshop - an instant hit for the daytime. I also put them with my shorts and a brecon stripe tee.

I think in my mind (and in my mind I am younger than I am) I want to do the school run in September with comfort but still look cool. I work a few days a week and when the meeting doesn't require a glam squad moment, then its going to be Superga.

They also do a cool kids range and my mini me daughter is going to have to get some to keep up!

Fashion: My new go-to everyday item

For some reason my life seems to go at 100mph ALL the time. Even when I consciously plan less to do, I still don't seem to have much time to do anything for myself. Sound familiar?!

I am therefore always on the lookout for shortcuts…dry shampoo, mineral makeup…you get the gist. So when it comes to my outfit I need something I can grab quickly and preferably one item so I don't have to think about matching it with anything!

My latest everyday, easy look does just this - the T-shirt dress.

The key is to get the right shape, length and fabric. As with t-shirts, try to buy a fluid fabric and wear it loose in a mid thigh length (of course go longer if you'd prefer). I like mine with rolled up sleeves for a slightly edgier look, but a long, baggy sleeve would work equally as well.

I bought some recently from h&m (in every colour!) for just £6.99 each and have since been researching some more expensive ones as I am such a convert. Oh and one last thing, they work perfectly with tights too, so are the perfect piece to take you through to autumn/winter

Fashion: skinted 'v' minted

Skater shoes were once reserved for spotty, adolescent teenagers. However they've seen a fashion revival of late with just about everyone from my 4 year old daughter to my husband owning a pair in some form or another.

We wear ours with anything from jeans to dresses. Choose a pair in a feminine or neutral colour so as not to look too heavy.

Plus they slip on with no need to do laces or buckles - perfect for when you are running out of the door late for work, nursery or school!

We love these Asos pink ones, a steal at just £14 (on sale, so be quick!) and an almost exact copy of the Common Projects designer version from net-a-porter at a heftier £305...

Fashion: Havaianas just got even cooler

Havaiana Freedom £26, havaianas-store.com
Ok so it's an unlikely scenario, but were you to pack just one pair of shoes for your holiday then it could quite feasibly be the new 'freedom' sandals from Havaianas.

Famed for their comfort and cult design, it was Havaianas that made flip-flops cool again.

The new 'Freedom' design are equally as cool as the original cult flip flops, but that bit more dressy.

Slim, elegant and understated, they come in 6 different colours - black, gold, silver, pink, blue and navy.

Nailing the spring/summer catwalk infatuation with metallics, here at Stylekt11 we think the gold or silver ones would take you perfectly from the beach (with a kaftan like this Melissa Odabash one that's currently on sale!) to the evening (paired with a jumpsuit).

Fashion: Women love leopard print, but do men?

I am on the verge of purchasing some leopard print flats for the new season. Wearing them with jeans keeps it simple but with a touch of glam! However, do we have to stop at shoes…

When I mention leopard print to the love of my life, his reaction is "Please don't go all Bet Lynch on me, its not sexy'

Really men don't love this look???

Ok for the record I was not planning on doing that, but the way he says it makes me wonder how much he really does not like it. I am dressing for myself and I am fairly confident that I make good decisions when it comes to dressing, but how far is too far with leopard print?
Fav fashion blogger Sincerely Jules works it with tartan

When it comes to patterned dressing my opinion is that a little here and there can be better than a mass coverage. That said, some of the flower prints look fab head to toe. However, I think leopard is one to be careful with and sometimes less is more - adding a little mystery to your outfit whilst bringing in the chic element. Dressed in the right way most people can pull it off.
office shoes have a great range of leopard print

Although my man doesn't rule my fashion world, I do agree on this occasion (did you hear a thud? Thats him falling on the floor because I have agreed with something and he cant quite believe it) less is more, and making it stand out means styling it well.

For me I will almost always wear my chosen piece with jeans for another day to night look.

Fashion: The perfect look for a lazy Sunday

Anyone whose anyone has been seen wearing the Califorian brand Rails of late. Especially the boyfriend shirt.

These are straight from the "I just got out of bed and threw on this old thing" school of dressing and just about every fashion forward stateside celebrity has one.

Not only do they look super cool, but they fit a treat too.

Choose from a soft denim version that will work for just about every occasion, a white cotton one for work/dressier days, or a plaid version which would look great with a pencil skirt.

I wear mine oversized and undone over my skinnies and vest ALL the time. So go on ladies get shirt shopping at www.railsclothing.com

Stripes stripes stripes

Ever since the beginning of spring I have been toying with stripes, and mainly because someone gave me a paranoia about which way they go, (no one wants to look like a wide load) although really its about the way you wear it for your figure. With spring gone and summer in full swing, I have decided to delve into the stripe tee section.
I love it, and inspired by top bloggers, I have learnt how to wear this well. Its not just a daytime look, teamed with a blazer for the evening its perfect. Its a clean line look which is almost showing you in a well polished look without the effort. Hair in a ponytail and a pair of sunny's and your done.

Its a great wardrobe staple and can be carried through seasons. We really love a red stripe, especially good if you have a summer glow.
